He is one of the most iconic journalists and playwrights within the freedom movement. Michael Gray Griffiths has captured the interest and engagement of many people, creating a large following. In the early days of questioning the participants at the Freedom rallies, he began to gain momentum. His plays, including “My brother, my brother, my brother”, branched out to the artistic core of his endeavors, and inturn stimulating a wide reception of the play. His quest to find what makes Aussies tick through the Kulture campaign, although blocked and clamped down on, has revealed that many of us still aspire for our freedom.
It was my pleasure to meet Michael who has travelled across the continent to arive in Perth. We talked before the presentation and shared some ideas.

His presentation to a full house at Topolinis restaurant will be remembered. He spoke about his start in his career catering for the Freedom movement. He shared his impression of things and the lack of understanding we have in the overall scheme of things. However, he left us with a positive view that we should continue exploring. My takeaway revelation was that, while we once travelled the same hill at different angles, we have been travelling different hills at different angles for a long time.
