Like many people, we hold hope that our salvation depends on some external action. An action committed by others in our favor. But Freedom doesn’t work like that. Freedom requires your participation and actions. Where an ultimatum is pending a decision by others, there is little we can do to sway it. This is especially true of totalitarian tyrants. So, in these circumstances alone, we grasp at the illusion of hope. But more than that, we are slowly brought back into the fold by accepting the illusions we trust, believe in, and hold dearly.
Religion – not all religions are the same. We can’t generalize on all matters regarding religions. However, so far as Christianity is concerned, it began as a rebellious, antagonistic, and passive movement led by Jesus Christ and his Apostles. Their victory was that from that day onward, the faith they had became a religion. Devout believers gathered in large numbers to it, and it remained central to the religion throughout its early history.
However, all churches and organized systems of religion today, no matter what religion, have become Oligarchies. This means that whatever you expect from an Oligarchy is found in every single church, be it Protestant, Catholic, or Orthodox. It is found naturally in all other religions too. Notoriously ironic, some of these other faiths demand the establishment of an Oligarchy. The Catholics have spent the best part of 1000 plus years trying to justify the Oligarchic position of the “pontifex maximus”, ie the Pope. Ironically, the Orthodox installed a system akin to the Sultanship or Omars of the Caliphate. The Protestants ended up installing micro-autocratic, oligarchic-leaning governments at their helm. This article is for Australians, and as such, I omit references to other faiths from this point onward.
It comes as no surprise that during COVID, 2019 – 2022, it didn’t matter what faith one had; the Oligarchical organizational institutions we call churches in the West were leading the religious down a path laid by Oligarchs. You see, the religion may be real and have substance, but the organizational structure of all our churches is Oligarchic. It was the oligarchs who decided to follow the globalist agenda that persuaded the leaders of each denomination and church. Approximately 195 countries followed a similar path. Surprisingly, people still venerate the names of the culprits who brought disease and mayhem to the people.
The illusion that the organized institutions represent the scriptures, traditions or religion is a falsehood we need to wake up to. Christianity emphasizes an ethical, democratic life. Jesus didn’t come to rule over us; he chose to walk by our side. God commanded that the will of the people should be done, right or wrong. The motives throughout the Bible are complex but emphasize a democratic and ethical approach to administering our lives and systems. This was present in the early church, but over many generations, it drifted into the control of the establishment. You could say that when Constantine declared the religion of Rome to be Christian, not only did the majority become Christians, but he also took control of the religion. The tactic is called taking the lead. Since then, no matter the denomination or church, the fundamental issue has been that people no longer make relevant choices.
So you see, the illusion that you are a good Christian is just that, an illusion. Some will argue in disbelief. But until the day comes when you and others decide who the priests, bishops, and clergy are, then you no longer control the beast that has taken your religion. You bow your heads to a false god because the righteous follow the righteous, the narrow path through which our savior walked and showed us. There may be 500 in the church nowadays, but the ones that believe in Christianity and not the leaders of a corrupt institution are a handful.
So now that we have considered the hardest of the topics to cover, it is time to reveal the rest of the illusions we tend to revere. Nationalism, Religion, Socioeconomic and Personal Aspects are four broad categories that illusions fit into.
Nationalism is taking pride in someone else’s work. It is the illusion that you belong or have something to do with another’s work. It is better to be patriotic and loyal to the people around you than to be distracted by national pride. Nationalism is used to group the population in a controlled, passive manner. Mechanisms used to define nationalism include culture, language, religion, and entertainment such as sports, music, and visual arts. Nationalism is also defined by Lifestyles and personal matters that will be addressed shortly.
Socioeconomic factors are a major category used to keep us poor. The intent is that by being crippled through poverty, you have little to no time to write, speak, or act against those who keep you poor. It is systemic, and often there is an illusion paired with it regarding a person’s value. That is to say that people listen to the wealthy and not the poor. Funny that isn’t it? People have to realize that no one becomes rich without the support of those with the power to do so.
Personal Aspects is a complex category because these illusions force you to act in a particular way by shaping your thoughts and perceptions of yourself. Women spend enormous amounts of money on personal care. Personal aspects include fashion, beauty, and personal care products and services. Some people think their jobs are permanent, but they are not. Some think they have control, but all we can control is our own actions, which may affect others. Also, our identity shifts and changes over time, so people who believe in these illusions may eventually stop believing in them. Making socioeconomic friendships for a purpose is an example of an illusion. Another illusion is independence, when in reality people are interdependent and rely on others’ actions. By keeping us “independent,” we can’t come together to form a democratic unity. Self-sufficiency is not being independent; it is accepting that we must do as much for ourselves before leaning on others. It is similar, but one acknowledges that others are interdependent.
To break these many illusions is hard for some people. Moderation is the first step to eliminating them completely. For things like religion, it is time that people understood that the only way forward is to demand a democratic process within these establishments. If none are found, then they are not The Church. Overall, a moderate, peaceful approach is needed. Slowly reduce the illusion by centering your energies on what is real and true. From going nowhere in a hurry, you will be going somewhere at a slower yet steady pace.
